Interactive box tops

In my youth,  radio was the preferred method of mass media presentations.   Of course most of my attention was directed to the late afternoon shows that were designed for pre teen boys.   Most of the programs were sponsor by cereal manufactures or peanut butter.  I listened to the programs religiously and insisted that my mother purchase the products that my heroes advertised.  In order to create an avenue of Interactive Media there were always offers of special items secret rings or decoder belts.  All I had to do was send in two box tops and a dime to get the offer.  I was interactive.
