“Interesting” Gifts
My cousin is know for getting some kind of strange gifts for people. He always means well but sometimes he really misses the mark with his ‘out there’ ideas. So when I was invited to his parents 50th Anniversary party I was really interested to see what he’d show up with! Well, I sure wasn’t disappointed. He bought them a western saddle! It was really more a piece of art than a functioning saddle – although I imagine it would still work. I thought it was a really bizarre gift at first but later I found out that his parents had actually met while his father was selling saddles! Once everyone learned the story behind it I think we were all pretty touched.
