Easton’s 2010 baseball bats have added some wise modifications
Easton’s 2010 baseball bats have added some wise modifications to last years best-selling models. Instead of being called the Stealth/Synergy IMX bats, this year’s composite models are now known as the Stealth/Synergy Speed bats. While maintaining most characteristics of their best-selling line, they have a slightly lower swing weight and a stiffer handle option on the two-piece Stealth Speed bat. Easton will also introduce a stiff handle version of the hybrid SV12. Continuing its efforts to lead the pack in communicating detailed information about its bats to the consumer, each of their best-selling bats is labeled with a number indicating the stiffness of the handle (higher numbers being stiffer). In addition to telling us the handle flex rating, they list the swing weight (MOI) and hitting area for all of their bats. This is extremely helpful in selecting a bat and makes me wonder why the other manufacturers ignore or gloss over it. Don’t forget to check out the My Bat Recommendations section which is segmented by both material and price!
