The idiot box
Television is known by some elitiest as "the idiot box". Why is it met with such derision? Well it is a good question. First of all, it has been scientifically proven that a little TV actually makes kids smarter. Think about it. Have you ever talked to a 5-6 year old kid and wondered where he or she learned the things they did? Afterall, they didn’t hear it from their parents. Well television exposes children to any number of things (both good and bad) that they would never see otherwise. The next time you bash television, think about how much it has opened up your world.
