One of the best tips I can give people who are just planning on starting out with parrots is to think about it very carefully as taking this responsibility usually is a long term commitment. Parrots usually have a long life and some may reach the age of sixty years and sometimes even more. In addition taking care of a parrot is not a cheap hobby and the initial costs for starting up are pretty high. This is true especially about buying a Parrot Cage for your new bird. Getting a good cage which is also a safe cage will cost a few hundred dollars but it is better to spend your money on a good cage once and avoid buying another cage latter.
