Customized Retirement Watch
I saw an old friend from high school in the mall a while ago and we decided to go have coffee and catch up to the events in our lives. I learned that she is planning a celebration for her mother’s retirement from her job with the County Treasurer’s Office after 34 years of employment. I was a little surprised that she was in charge of the party and not Betty’s co-workers, but she told me they actually had asked her to plan it so Betty would not overhear the plans. They all chipped in and she was purchasing a gift of custom jewelry from the co-workers. Rather than the traditional wristwatch they decided to have one made that will also be a pendant. What a wonderful way to celebrate her many years of loyal service.
