Treatment of Acid Reflux Disease

Many doctors recommend lifestyle changes for Acid Reflux Disease, whether they prescibe medication for it or not. Changes in food may help, but some studies have shown that this is only anectdotal. Losing weight and not eating two hours before bed really helps! Some say here are foods that may or may not cause heartburn: coffee, alcohol, vitamin C, antacids, fatty foods (foods high in fat), overly large meals, carbonated soda pop (it doesn’t matter if it is diet soda or not), chocolate, peppermint, milk, milk-based products like icecream, and vegetables in the broccoli and cauliflower family. Keep in mind, this is anecdotal. The real determination is how YOU react to these foods.
