It was a cold day. Sun shining, but a Souterhly cutting through Christchurch, so the wind was biting. Actually it had been snowing during the night, so things we not hot. But we needed to check out the rental cars in Christchurch so off we went. Down at the Bus Exchange in the center of town we started looking up the car hire companies as we came across them, and they were all helpful. There were a range of good size vehicles available at the price we wanted. So we got one and drove off the next day happy as larry. Went around the South Island in that car, actually, and it was reliable and suited our needs.
