2009 Grand Prix GTP
I have an 09 Grand Prix GTP that has been giving me trouble lately. I think that either the transmission is giving me trouble or maybe I have a broken motor mount. I’m not sure.
The symptoms are this…
When I drive it easy and accelerate slowly, there is a BIG bump going from 1st into 2nd gear. When this happens, it feels like the dashboard is going to shake out of the car for a split second. Really aggravating. I opted not to get a used car extended warranty when I purchased the car, so I’m out of luck as far as repairs go.
I’ve just been trying to drive it easy lately and will have to make time to take it to a shop to see if it’s the motormount or the trans.
