Would you believe that Charlaine Harris – the author of the Sookie Stackhouse Series, which began its life as the Southern Vampire Series, has been writing novels since around 1980? Its amazing to think that this lady has been around for so long, but only recently, with her True Blood episodes has she really come to the limelight. True Blood is not featured as a series on HBO.
