I recently went to the lake district for a short break as I was luck enough to win a competition. Arguably the League’s hottest team, the Detroit Red Wings, have made the NHL Highlights recently. While this isn’t surprising, the reason for their showing might be. The team recently announced a twelve-year contract that locks in Henrik Zetterberg, the Center who has 43 points.

Now, this might be great for the Wings as they are pinning down a great asset. However, there are questions about what will happen to other leaders, such as Marian Hossa whose contract is coming up. As the team’s goals leader, Hossa is also a great asset. Oh, and so is Pavel Datsyuk and a string of others whose future with the Wings might be questioned.
